Tohickon Campground of Quakertown PA 150th Birthday of Sheard's Mill Covered Bridge
Saturday, September 23 from 1 to 4 pm at 8308 Covered Bridge Road, Quakertown PA. The Haycock Historical Society and Neighborhood Bridge Friends will sponsor Mill & Grounds Tours, Food, Bridge Art Show/Sale, Book Signing with Scott Bomboy - author of Bucks County Covered Bridges. Old Wye Mill Ancient Grains Festival and Local Products Festival Saturday, August 19th
The festival will feature Mason's Heritage Family Farm selling fresh produce and Claire Bramble offering cuts of beef from grass fed cattle. Want more information on healthy food options? Ask Aaron Cooper about fresh organics from Cutfresh Organics, Cayden about beekeeping and Gerry Godfrey about Einkorn grain. Triple Creek Winery will be on hand with offering a low cost opportunity to sample their wines. Our millers will be grinding grains into flours and answering questions about milling and the history of the Old Wye Mill.
Stop by to see us and bring your friends to visit the Old Wye Mill. The mill is open for tours: Wednesdays through Saturdays 10 am to 3 pm and Sundays 1 pm to 3 pm with flour grinding on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Check the website for more details.
Wallace Cross Mill Season Open Sundays through October 8
This restored historic custom grist mill in Southern York County Pennsylvania is open for tours from 1:30 to 4:30. Special events are planned for the second Sunday of each month. Docent will be on hand to interpret the mill, operate the machinery and answer questions. Check the schedule for specific details.
